Start with the built-in manual

Common questions

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for and no password to remember. The app works the moment it is installed.

How does my data get to my other devices?

Through your own iCloud, if you choose to turn sync on. All of your devices signed in to the same Apple Account stay in step automatically. Sync can be turned on during setup or later in Settings, and the app works fully without it.

How do I back up my data?

Settings offers a complete export of everything you have logged: foods, meals, entries, metrics, notes, and settings. The export is a single file you can keep anywhere you like and import again on any device, or on a new one.

What happens when the free trial ends?

The app stops accepting new entries until it is unlocked, and nothing else changes. Everything already logged stays fully viewable, charts keep working, and export and import stay available forever. Your data is never held hostage.

Which devices does it run on?

iPhone and iPad with iOS 18 or later, and Mac with macOS 15 or later. One purchase covers all of them, and Family Sharing is supported.

Are the AI features required?

No. Every AI feature is optional and off until you set it up. The manual's setup section and the in-app keys page explain exactly what each feature does and what it costs to run with your own key.
